Tuberculosis

Tuberculosis is a communicable disease and can easily spread through air when people infected with the disease sneeze or cough. It is caused by mycobacterium which attacks lungs and hence the bacterium causing the disease stays there. Tuberculosis can also affect nervous system, lymphatic system, bones, joints and circulatory system. The symptoms of the disease are chronic and persistent coughing with blood stains, fever, weight loss, appetite loss, chills, fatigue and sweating. It can be diagnosed with the help of X- rays and blood tests. The treatment procedure for the disease is the use of antibiotics to kill the causative agents.
